Liked my stay. The place was clean, I booked the standard queen room with city views, everything was really good. There were comfy beds and central heating, a coffee/tea maker and a multi-channel TV inside the room. The breakfast menu was savoury.

Very friendly staff. Good breakfasts and 5/10 minutes to the city centre meant it was an excellent choice for a long weekend in York.

Room was a bit small and the bathroom needed updating.

The room was tiny, it should have been advertised as a small double not a ''Comfortable and airy room''. There wasn't even enough space to pass each other. I think the room was extremely over priced.

Clean, cosy, friendly - like visiting with family. As a single traveller I felt welcome and secure. Nothing was too much trouble. The proprietors and their staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Delicious home-cooked breakfast, and ample selection available. I would not hesitate to recommend Grange Lodge to anyone, and I hope to return.

Helpful staff, fantastic breakfast, had a really lovely stay overall for a very short visit. We got a room with a tub. The location was absolutely perfect and ideal, close enough to attractions and restaurants as well as all the main shopping areas...
