Just a reliable pick for a trip in York with decent value for money. The hot chocolate with the drinks was a nice touch. Consider opting for a room with better amenities next time.

the location was awesome, only a 15 min walk to the city center which was super handy. the room was really nice and comfy, had everything we needed. the bed was great for a good night sleep. also, we loved the keypad entry, made it so easy to come and go. friendly staff too!
the room was a bit small for our liking and the pillows could have been thicker. also, could use a few more amenities in the room.

Our stay was really enjoyable, especially the lovely breakfast options and the spacious ground floor room with awesome en suite facilities. It was great to relax in the cozy lounge and enjoy the beautiful garden area. Just a heads up, parking isn't exactly on site, so plan for that, but overall, we had a fab time! 😊

Improved mobility assistance for seniors would be beneficial.

Had a cracking time at Grange Lodge! The make-your-own pancake machine was a proper treat to kick off the day. Plus, the location's spot on, just a quick stroll to the Old Town—perfect for a nightcap by the river. Clean, cozy, and easy access to lovely spots like Dewsnaps Brasserie for a scrumptious dinner. Can't recommend it enough for that cheeky getaway!
Only downside, we had no face-to-face banter with staff—all via the message app, which was a bit strange. could’ve done without the lack of breakfast facilities.

missingWrote a review on 02 Juncozy roomgreat showerconvenient locationnoisy environment
The room featured lovely furnishings and a great shower, providing a cozy atmosphere even if it was on the smaller side. The location offered a short 15-minute walk to the city center, making it convenient for exploring without needing to battle heavy traffic.
The converted Victorian house design meant no privacy due to poor noise insulation. we heard doors banging and conversations from other guests all night. Our room felt a bit cramped, especially the bathroom which became steamy without a fan, making it uncomfortable after showers. The breakfast setup also felt awkward with too few tables for the number of rooms, leading to a rushed atmosphere in the mornings.

The room was tiny, but super clean and cozy. The bed was comfy, which I loved. There was a built-in wardrobe to hide away my stuff, making the space feel less cramped. The shower was lovely too, with great water pressure. Plus, it felt really quiet overall. Just had that nice homey vibe, you know? Definitely worked for me!
